Week five - frozen image revision

These are some more shots I took to practise the frozen image shots with actual people this time.

Week 4- I made it !

In no particular order. Starting with a side lit shot. This again is the lovely Elizabeth. I went to a local park with my brother and his family to do a lifestyle shoot for them involving leaf throwing as it is autumn (fall) here right now.  I am not entirely happy with this shot as I would have liked to have gotten her hands in the shot and feel her face could be a little clearer. What I do like about it is that I was able to capture that split second of her throwing the leaves and the great big genuine smile on her face.

This is a front lit shot. It was again at the park with my brother. This time having my nephew Luke in a photo as well. I think I might try and submit another front lit shot next week. I feel Ellie is too out of focus for my liking. I do love her face though, my brother was pretending to throw leaves on me at the time. We were trying to get them to look up just a little to stop any shadows under eyes etc but he was standing and I was lying down so the are looking up really high.

In this one I was trying to use the concrete and the light brick work. I am not sure about the shadow on Anthea's face which is why I opted for black and white. I do like the expression on her face though.

I think with husband away I am more tired and my photos are showing it, maybe I just had an off week.

This is my attempt at a silhouette. It is taken out the front of my house. What I like is that I managed to get the star burst.

This is the back lit photo. I think her hand is quite blurry in this one though :-(. It was the best smiling photo I took. I took another really nice one expect there was a pole coming out of the top of her head, which is a shame because everything else in it was lovely.

Sorry for the downer week of reviews. Between husband being away and hurting my back I think it was not one of my finest homework weeks.
I did take some shots for a friend and her children which she loved yesterday so I was able to end to week on an okay note.
Thanks Sarah and Brooke and classmates for the support over the weeks, it has been fun.
